Blackjack

Sunday, January 14th, 2007

Blackjack is my favorite game. It is the only online casino game I know that gives me a real chance of winning. Sitting in front of my computer in my study with the fire going and a mug of coffee or glass of whisky at my elbow, I can play blackjack at my own pace, taking my time and not being rushed by the dealer or the other players. This gives me a chance to study and remember the cards that have been played. I know that card counting is frowned upon and that the casinos do all they can to stop it, but, this is me playing on my own and I have the right….

It’s me against the dealer and no other players are part of my blackjack game. If I decide to take a hit on eighteen that’s my business and no one can laugh at me. If I decide not to split a pair of jacks, that’s my decision and I am entitled to stand by it. I like to bet fifty or a hundred dollars on each hand when I am online gambling and I am always amazed at how well I come out after a few hours playing blackjack.

Things have changed recently. The US has put a stop to money transfers to online casinos, so when one writes “Blackjack” into Google to search for online casino sites, one gets a long list of warnings instead of casino names, but the online casinos are out there on the web and little searching will uncover them. I can continue to play and enjoy blackjack.

Blackjack Offers The Best Odds When Online Gambling

Sunday, November 5th, 2006

Blackjack has a special appeal when online gambling because it seems to be the easiest game to understand and also because if played according to some simple rules, blackjack seems to offer the online casino player the best odds when playing against the house.

Still, when playing blackjack at an online casino you still need to follow some rules that will help you to cut down the house’s edge to a minimum. You need to know what the online casino house rules are before you begin to play blackjack online so that you can take advantage of them for your benefit. For example, when can you split your cards? How many times can you split? etc.

Those of you who have been online gambling for some time and played at many online casinos, already know the importance of these things, but those of you who are playing blackjack at an online casino for the first time, need to read about the rules and regulations attached to the online casino that you have selected for playing at. Blackjack, you know, can be fun, but only when you know what you are doing. You should never play at an online casino if you have doubts as to the reliability of the site. Also, when dealing with bonuses, make sure you know what restrictions are being placed on your play experience as they relate to blackjack. Online casinos can be fun to play at, but unless you know what you are doing, you shouldn’t proceed.

How Best to Play Blackjack

Thursday, October 12th, 2006

Blackjack is one of the easiest games to play when involved in online gambling. That is because the rules are very straightforward and if they are followed one has a better than usual chance of winning money. In fact, when playing at an online casino or at online casinos, you can achieve a higher advantage playing blackjack than if you were to play at a land based casino.

Most casinos have fixed blackjack rules that apply to the blackjack dealer and what he must do in any case. For example, when playing at land based or online casinos the dealer must usually take another card if the online casino dealer has 16 or less points and must stay at 17 or above.

There are also rules covering who wins in which situation while playing blackjack. This can affect the overall house edge. You can also split your cards if your first two cards are of equal value to form up to three separate hands. Aces on the other hand, may be split only once whether you are playing at online casinos or brick and mortar coins. You then receive an additional card for each hand, and you must wager an amount equal to your original bet each time you split. When you play blackjack you can also place an additional bet (not exceeding your original bet) if your first two cards total 9,10 or 11 (without aces). This is called doubling down and you are dealt one additional card when you double.

Online gambling is a good way to play blackjack and win since the online casinos are offering very good odds for online blackjack players.

Playing Blackjack Online

Saturday, October 7th, 2006

When playing at an online casino or when participating in online gambling, you will probably want to play the online casino game of Blackjack. The objective of Blackjack is for the player’s total card value to come as close to 21 as possible without going over.

You will still want to have a higher number than the Blackjack dealer. When playing at online casinos, the Blackjack player must first place his or her bet. Once the Blackjack bet is placed, the player receives two cards face up.  This is also true when you are playing Blackjack online gambling and trying your luck. The dealer is also dealt two cards.

If the total value of the Blackjack player’s cards is closer to 21 than the Blackjack dealer, the player wins as much as he or she has bet. If the dealer goes over 21,the player wins. Blackjack can be a lot of fun when you are playing it at an online casino.

Online gambling is popular and one of the main reasons for its growing popularity is the attraction of playing Blackjack at online casinos. You are not as pressured to make your move when you are playing across from a virtual Blackjack dealer and can really think it through before deciding your move. Maybe that is why there are so many people who spend their free time at online gambling, playing Blackjack and even winning, at online casinos.

Playing Double Down

Wednesday, August 23rd, 2006

You have to face the facts; the majority of hands you get dealt in blackjack are losing hands. The fact is, on an average, you are targeted to win only forty seven hands out of every hundred and thus lose fifty three hands. So how can you triumph if those are the odds facing you as a blackjack player?

A specific method to contend with the casino’s edge in blackjack is to get to know when doubling down is worth performing. This playing possibility was brought into the game as a method for participants to diminish the casino’s advantage. However, the player has to decide when, and most crucially when not to use the doubling down.

To be able to use the right double down playing strategy enables a blackjack participant either to convert a hand loss into a complete winner or to diminish the loss in a situation where you are losing. Although it may appear rather complex, they are nevertheless two significant aspects that blackjack participants should try and grasp so that you can recognize when pair splitting and doubling down can be used to your advantage.

The Lab Airlines Reasons for Playing Blackjack

Wednesday, August 23rd, 2006

Why place bets on blackjack and not on other casino games? What distinguishes blackjack from any game played on a casino bank? Obviously, owners of casino games are supposed to make money out of them. To make certain that this does occur, casinos provide random based games played according to independent trial processes, in mathematical jargon. The idea behind this is that the odds for any wager stay the same independent of anything having happened in the dice’s previous rolls or spins.

Roulette is a good instance. Thirty seven to one are the odds against any number winning. Let us assume that number seven comes out as winning. The following wheel spin still keeps the odds of winning a number seven at thirty seven to one. The fact is that even the seven number did turn up winning even two, three or four times successively, the odds that the next wheel spin would win with a seven are still thirty seven to one. And why is that? The ball in the roulette cannot remember anything. The ball simply is not aware that the last winning number was seven. There is no such thing as a number is about to win for each spin acts independently as an event. Whatever has or has not happened on former spins of the wheel the number seven retains the identical chance of winning on the next spin.

Having this roulette information, the game’s inventors understood how to keep the edge against form of betting. In fact it is really very easy. Winning wagers are simply paid at odds that are a little smaller than the permanent odds that gamblers are faced with when any number is betted on. Against number seven being able to win have odds – as any roulette number in fact – of a permanent thirty seven to one. You get paid by the casino, on the assumption you win, thirty five dollars for each dollar wager, s the odds paid out are thirty five to one. The permanent winning odds of winning a wager, namely, thirty seven to one, is differentiated from the casino payoff odds, namely, thirty five to one, by the casino’s edge. Out of every thirty eight chips in the instance of roulette, the casino is likely to make a winning of two chips, which is placed by the participant, or has a five point two six percent mathematical edge.

All independent trial procedures of casino games have one attribute in common, namely, that from a mathematical point of view, in a fair game, the casino’s advantage in the games cannot be beaten by any gambling or playing system. Over the long term, a participant will end up losing more cash than winning, which is constantly a negative anticipation.

It was not that simple to work out how enable the casino to have an edge when blackjack was being invented. No computers were around to make an analysis of each hand’s precise percentages. A framework of rules for playing were instituted and developed by trial and error; these were integrated with the dexterity or lack of players’ playing abilities, and the results are over the course of time in the casino having a winning money game. Much more precise than the player’s insights was the advent of the computer-analyzed playing strategies. An astute blackjack player is able to knock down the casino’s advantage to about half a percent by applying these precise playing strategies. It indicates that for every blackjack hundred dollars wager, a player is about to make a loss of only fifty cents. To get that close was not the aim of the casinos in my opinion.

Blackjack and the other casino is differentiated by the fact that dependent trial procedures provide the base to blackjack. The meaning is that moving from one hand to the next does not provide any constant. Depending on the card played in former rounds they change. Assuming your game was a single pack game and you played four aces, on the following hand what is the chance for getting blackjack? As there are no longer any aces remaining in the pack to be dealt, it must be zero. However, if you did observe that no aces were actually played in the first hands, the chance of obtaining blackjack rises, as among the cards still not dealt are the four aces. Nevertheless, the bottom line is that in contrast to the dice or roulette ball, the cards maintain a recall and the odds from one hand to the next one are not the same.

An additional element that distinguishes blackjack from other casino games is that the participants have to decide about playing after their bet is made. Making this decision either raises or diminishes the winning hand’s probability. Thus, the standard of a blackjack player’s playing capability definitely affects his or her winning chances.

What’s the purpose then in playing blackjack? The answer is that you can beat blackjack due to the reasons given above and for the skilled player it offers the best attempt to triumph.

Strategy Lab Fundamentals

Wednesday, August 23rd, 2006

The Lab Airllines fundamental strategy of Blackjack is being able to know when to take out insurance, give up, double down, split, stand or hit. This strategy is based on a framework of rules arrived at by statistical analysis, so in spite of the name there’s nothing too fundamental involved. In each card combination, the fundamental strategy offers over the long time, the move resulting in the optimal possibility of making a win.

If you religiously and persistently keep to all the rules then you will find that the fundamental strategy is at its highest effectiveness. For instance, to hit and stand is just as vital in the game as to split and double down. In your strategy, the most vital decisive aspect in any given hand is to first look at the dealer’s up card.

You can hit any hand securely, without the worry of busting, if it holds eleven points or under. Therefore any hand with eleven points or under should always be hit. Nevertheless, you should double down or split on these hands occasionally.

It’s also worth remembering that on being dealt an Ace, it can serve either a one or eleven value card and during the course of the game it can change.

A hand holding seventeen points or more should never be hit. A soft 17 is the single exception to this rule, this means that it includes an ace card and for the total it has been considered an eleven.

When to Hit and when to Stand

The following is the fundamental hit and stand strategy:

*      Anything under twelve, hit

*      Anything above sixteen, stand

Assuming you hold twelve or sixteen one of the two following moves should be made:

*      If the dealer’s card lies between seven and Ace (eleven), then hit

*      I the dealer’s up card is under seven, then stand

Soft totals: To hit and stand

An Ace and another value card comprise soft totals. Remember that an Ace can be considered an eleven or one.

If you don’t hold a ten value card but have an Ace, then:

*      If the soft total totals seventeen or under then hit

*      If the soft total totals seventeen or under and the dealer holds a four or five then double

*      If the soft total is nineteen or twenty then stand

When to double down

In the above section, we discussed the strategy for doubling down for a soft total. Deciding to double down should be based on the following strategy:

*      If your hand has a total below eight then never double

*      If you hold an eleven then always double down

*      When the dealer has cards between two to nine and you have a ten, then double down

When to split

If you wish to split base it on the following rudimentary rules:

*      With eights and Aces always split

*      With fours, fives and ten value cards never split

The Lab Fundamental Rules of Blackjack

Wednesday, August 23rd, 2006

Blackjack’s aim is very easy to understand: you have to attain a total larger than the dealer’s total, providing 21 is not exceeded. It doesn’t matter whether other players are located at the table or not, as your only rival in the game is the dealer.

When you play Blackjack, the number of decisions you have to make is relatively small. You have to take into account your cards as well as the card the dealer holds, and don’t forget, if you exceed 21 you bust and busing means you have lost.

The progress of the game is as the following:

  1. Face up, a card is dealt in turn to each participant, and then the dealer gets one. However, the dealer gets his card face down and this is known as the hole card.
  2. Each player is now dealt a second card face up.
  3. Each player in turn, beginning from the dealer’s left, has to decide whether another card is worth drawing.
  4. The dealer goes on to draw cards to complete his hand only after all the players have finished completed their hands.

You can win the game providing that:

*      You total a number greater than the dealer’s total number

*      The dealer exceeds 21 and goes bust

However, if you total the identical number to the dealer’s total then it’s called a stand-off and you neither have a loss or a win.

You lose, however, if you exceed 21, or the dealer’s total is bigger.
